Working closely with researchers in academia, at Climate Central and elsewhere, John Upton leads features collaborations with local print, radio, television and digital news outlets throughout the U.S. He joined Climate Central in 2012 as a senior science writer, and his coverage of bioenergy received an Online News Association award and was a finalist for the John B. Oakes Award for distinguished environmental journalism. He has degrees in science and business more than 15 years of local, national and international journalism experience.
